While street riders have gotten used to the idea that modular, flip helmets are pretty pervasive, the concept hasn’t really panned out for adventure riders who need better ventilation and more protection from dirt and sand. The Touratech Aventuro Mod helmet may just set the bar for a flip that’s fit for on or off road riding.

Designed in conjunction with Schuberth, one of the top manufacturers of flip style helmets, the Aventuro Mod features a special glass fiber laminate shell, anti-fog and distortion free visor, a continuously adjustable sun visor, and a washable Coolmax liner. A large face opening allows for the use of enduro goggles.

What’s really ingenious is that the peak actually has a memory function. When you flip up the chin section, the peak remembers the position it was last set to. Flip the chin section down, and the peak returns to where you last set it.

The Aventuro Mod comes ready for Schuberth’s SRC-System C3Pro communication system, and what the two companies describe as “special acoustically optimized construction” to reduce external noise.

Seven different colors and seven sizes ranging from XS to 3XL are available. Touratech is selling two different models: one that meets ECE 2205 standards and the other that meets DOT requirements.
