For those of us who grew up riding anywhere west of the Missouri river, it’s sometime difficult to imagine being able to find wide swaths of land big enough back East to have much fun. Man, are we being closed minded.

A quick look online and we found this gem near the small town of Andover, NY located in the southwest part of the state near the Pennsylvania border. With about 60 miles of woods trails and mud bogs, this park is open from 9 a.m. to dusk, although it’s suggested to call ahead if you’re arriving during the week.

Camping is permitted, and there is room for RVs and tents. They even have a few cabins that sleep up to size and a yurt.

muddy Pine trailDay passes will run you $20, weekends are $30, and you can get a season pass for $300. In exchange, you’ll get all of the deep woods and mud bog riding you can handle. Don’t plan on big hill jumps, though, there aren’t any. Mostly, this is an amateur area with some novice and expert trails. Perfect for families or someone still new to dirt.
