This is home to the infamous Slick Rock mountain bike area, but the overall area is open year round to dirt bikes, off-road vehicles and 4X4s. Be warned — this area is mostly for advance riders and drivers of any of the aforementioned vehicles due to the frequency of steep inclines and declines, and the proliferation of rocks!

Don’t expect to go off road and camp wherever. There are nine designated campgrounds with two group campgrounds and 120 designated campsites. You can reserve a group campground by calling 435-259-2444, but individual sites are on a first come, first serve basis.

You’ll find this area a little over four miles outside Moab, Utah, located in the eastern part of the state.
