Motorcycle themed restaurants typically run into two categories – 1) “Oh, look, there are pictures of motorcycles.” or 2) “The owner looks like they actually rode the damn things more than once!” Black Lightning Motorcycle Cafe fits nicely into the latter category.

Located in Eureka, CA just off the 101, this is a place where bikers and non-bikers alike can sit down and enjoy a great cup of European-style coffee (drip not brewed) and a menu that serves up breakfast and lunch featuring motorcycle named items like The Vincent, The Bultaco and The Norton. Started by Jeff Hesseltine, a former contractor and AFM racer, the BLMC reflects his 30-years of motorcycle riding and racing, and his desire to create a place that would put motorcycles and motorcycling in a positive light.

One look at the menu and you’ll ask yourself the same. Pictured above is one of their salads called The Bobber — artisan baby romaine topped with homemade, blue cheese dressing, red onion, and dukka (locally made).

And after you’re finished eating, walk over to their MotoShop where you can find accessories, apparel and parts from Alpinestar, Bikers Choice, First Gear, Go Pro, Icon, Metro Racing, River Road, Roland Sands, Speed & Strength and more!

Great food and motorcycle gear and parts? This must be heaven!
