Those of us on the West Coast don’t have much to worry about when it comes to winterizing our bikes. It might get a little hairy up in Oregon and Washington, and in the mountains, but for the most part riding year round is a given. But for much of the rest of the country, and those in most of the Northern Hemisphere this time of year, not so much.

Our friends at Fix.com were good enough to send over a link to their own set of tips on how to winterize your bike. It’s all laid out in an easy to follow infographic you can find here.

Some of the tips might seem like a given for those of you who’ve had to do this more than once, but here’s one we hadn’t heard of:

“When it comes time to store your bike, put an exhaust plug in your exhaust pipe to keep mice and other rodents away…”

We get that the little bastards like to make their homes just about anywhere, but you’d think they’d have the sense to stay out of potentially hot, tight places!  exhaust_pipe_mouse_art_stickers-rff7b5407fee2439bbefa1cdeb02c71bb_v9waf_8byvr_152
